Ingrid Bauer

Ingrid is an herbalist, gardener, cook, mother, and medical student at the UC Berkeley/UCSF Joint Medical Program. For her master’s thesis she is researching Latino health beliefs and traditional medicine at a bilingual clinic in Oakland, CA. She has taught at the American School of Herbalism in Santa Cruz, CA, and as a graduate student instructor for Medical Ethnobotany, an upper-level biology class at UC Berkeley. Through researching, practicing, and teaching about herbal medicine, Ingrid continues to engage with plants and natural medicine while simultaneously developing her skills as a physician and public health researcher.
