Western Herbs and Chinese Medicine: Classes for professionals and students

California Peony

As many of you know, my primary work over the years has been to teach and write about my experience using Western herbs in Chinese medicine. My first book, Western Herbs According to Traditional Chinese Medicine: A Practitioner’s Guide was published in 2008 and I have been working on a second volume ever since (after taking a little break, of course).

I am very happy to be able to announce the opening of a new institute, the Sylvan Institute of Botanical Medicine, and the beginning of a 70 hour course (live webinars) taught by myself and one of my most trusted colleagues, Benjamin Zappin, that will dig into this material in depth. The course will run from February to November with a significant break over the summer to allow all of us to enjoy our summer, but also to allow me to return to the United States, and together with Benjamin lead two trips to the mountains of Northern California, each for a three day adventure of engaging this material at the level of live plants.

There will also be other classes available, and for those of you who are looking for CEU’s, they can be provided for all the classes. We have, unfortunately fallen behind on the release of our new website, in the meantime we have a temporary site available here and you can also check out our new Facebook Page here.
